EPIC Schools

EPIC Schools is a future project that YIT will be launching in 2027. Until now, most of our programmes have been after-school intervention programs. However, we believe that wha is additionally needed is the opportunity for more children to receive a quality education that
is affordable, accessible and relevant. We cannot think of a better way of meeting this need than by establishing a school ourselves.

YIT will provide a high-value educational environment that is accessible to low-income communities. We are convinced that quality education should be accessible to all. At the same time, we want to equip young people with skills to solve the world's current and future problems. Our country needs critical thinkers who can identify the needs of their communities and develop practical solutions that will unlock new wells of wealth and prosperity for all South African citizens.

As such, our mission is to create a learning environment that;

‍Engages young people and inspires in them a love for learning, is
‍Practical and allows learners to easily connect the dots between what they are learning and how it can solve real-life problems, is
‍Inclusive with regards to race, class and gender, and is
‍Christ-Centered & Character Building, creating a generation of citizens who not only have a transformation of mind, but of heart. Citizens who love justice, compassion and service.

In short, our school will be E.P.I.C!

‍Roll Out

The school will develop as follows:
2027 - Foundation Phase: Grades R-3
2028 - Intermediate Phase: Grades 4-6
2029 - Senior Phase: Grades 7-9
2030 - Further Education Phase: Grades 10
2031 - Grade 11
2032 - Grade 12
